6 Interesting Activities You Can Do This Parents’ Day

Parents’ Day is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of July. This day is an ideal opportunity to put aside some special family time and do something exciting that everyone will enjoy. Here are 6 interesting activities you can do this Parents’ Day.

Go to the beach

There is nothing more relaxing than taking a few hours to stretch out in a beach chair and watch the water or to take a long walk along the shoreline, dipping your toes in the water as you go.

Cook dinner

Give your parents the night off from cooking and prepare dinner with your siblings. You can make the meal as simple or complex as you like. They’re surely going to appreciate the effort. Complete the evening by doing the dishes and cleaning up the kitchen while they take a walk or settle in for a favorite TV show.

Start a scrapbook

A scrapbook is a perfect way to preserve precious family memories so that you can look back at them for years to come. Working on the scrapbook together will add another layer of meaning to these cherished memories.

Spend an evening “unplugged”

Turn off the computers and TVs and put away all mobile devices for the night. Get out of the house and take in a concert or sporting event together or enjoy some old-fashioned fun right at home, such as a card game.

Check out an unfamiliar area of town

Is there a destination in town that you’ve always wanted to visit, but you’ve never made the time for it? Use this day to get over to the park or museum that’s been on your “to do” list all year.

Pitch in with the major chores

Choose a large chore that your parents are responsible for, such as washing the cars or trimming the bushes, and take care of it for them.
