5 Aspects That Make a Good Preschool

Sending your child off to pre-school can make some parents a little worried and stressed. But if you look out for a few things and do a little checklist before choosing a pre-school it will ensure your children’s safety and get them off to a good start in the educational system.

Preschool
  • Reputation Look for a school that has a good reputation. This can be a school that your family or friends refers you to or it could be something you find online that has a good reputation. Good reputation means that they have good reviews of their establishment.

  • Ground Rules That Are Established It’s a good idea to find a school that offers ground rules that have already been established. These ground rules should be looked for in order to ensure the safety of your child but it also shows if a school is organized or not. Look for things like open door policy which means they have nothing to hide. Also check in with things like pick up and drop off flexibility.

  • Curriculum While this isn’t first grade it is a stepping stone to the foundation of your child’s education. Make sure you look for a school that has age appropriate toys, games and activities to stimulate your children’s minds.

  • Food Supply Most of the time when a school lets you make your child bring their lunch they still will have a policy as to what your child can bring. If they provide lunches make sure that they take requests on what they offer if you plan on having your child only eat certain things.

  • Clean Facilities Not only should the facility be clean of any dirt or debris but you should also look for other factors as well such as secure play areas, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers etc.
